Patients will seek physicians based on MIPS Performance

physician compare will create new patient flow

Physician Compare is easy to use

The new CMS Physician Compare website  has been designed to be easy to use, and contains clear, simple training materials.

Physician Compare is easy to Find

Just Google it.

CMS is doing a great job in making the website accessible, and easy to find.

MIPS Performance Easy to Find

MIPS Quality scores are incredibly easy to compare.  While experts can discuss just how relevant comparisons might be, consumers will value the ability to see that Dr. X has a higher score than Dr. Y.

More than Medicare Subscribers

Data is not just for the CMS site, either.  CMS will publish a downloadable database on MIPS scores, accessible to Web MD, HealthGrades, or any other physician search site.  Expect your scores to be ubiquitously available.

You Populate Physician Compare

Each year, after MIPS data has been submitted, CMS gives providers a chance to review and dispute or accept scores before they are published on Physician Compare.  Starting in 2019, this matters.  A lot.

ACO and Clinic Both Matter

Under a comprehensive ACO program, all providers within the ACO receive the same scores.  Clinics not part of an ACO can submit their providers either as a group or as individuals.  How you submit will determine what data gets used for public comparisons.

Putting your best foot forward needs monthly macra management

You can't optimize MACRA at Year End

Improving MACRA Metrics comes from a regular program, throughout the year.  We get started as soon as a full month's data is available, and follow a regimen of extract, report, analyze and plan and act for every month thereafter.
